ROSS O’CARROLL KELLY, ‘icon’ of Dublin’s south side, is being honoured across the city today in all his favourite haunts.

In January, a plaque was erected above the urinals in Kiely’s of Donnybrook for the fictional character, to commemorate all the times he ‘hit and missed’ at the D4 pub.

Today, more plaques celebrating his life and times are popping up in Dublin… including this one in notorious nightspot Lillie’s Bordello.

The plaque outside Lillie’s is part of a wider ROCK Walk of Fame through the south side of the city – there are also plaques to be found outside The Irish Times building where Ross ‘works’, Madigan’s pub in Ballsbridge, where he and wife Sorcha had their first date, and Thomas’s of Foxrock, where he ‘lives’.

The Walk of Fame is being erected ahead of the release of Ross’ new book, Keeping Up With The Kalashnikovs, on Thursday.

Just don’t expect to find any on the north side – the posho’s probably never been across the Liffey, so it’s only fitting, roysh?
